Membership

Membership in the Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club is open to all dog owners and dog lovers who are 18 years or older and who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club. Junior members between the ages of nine and 18 are also welcome as long as they are sponsored by an existing club member.

Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month except January and July at our training facility in Raytown at 7:00 p.m.

Prospective members are encouraged to attend a meeting, bring their family (including well-behaved canine members) and apply for membership at the meeting. Prospective members will be required to attend meetings for first and second readings before being voted into the club by the members present. Annual dues are to be paid upon applying for membership.

As an all volunteer club, we encourage members to participate on committees and help with trials, show prep classes, demonstrations, training classes, and other activities as time and interests permit. Members do get a cost reduction on classes and seminars.

We welcome new members and hope that you will attend a meeting and see what we are all about. For more information, contact the Membership Chair at membership@gkcdtc.org,  call (816) 228-7214, or drop by a meeting.
