From Page 10-11 of the GKCDTC Standing Rules:
This policy and protocol will apply to any event sponsored, organized or hosted by the Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club unless it is an official show/trial covered by another venue/organization such as CPE, AKC, etc. In those cases, the Aggressive Dog Policy of that organization will take precedence on the day of the incident. The member in charge of the event shall be responsible for carrying out the GKCDTC protocol and delivering the completed Incident Report to the Training Director(s). In the case of an official show/trial, an GKCDTC Incident report should still be filled out.
The Training Committee will review the information collected and make a determination as to consequences. Consequences could range from a warning to an outright ban of dog, handler, or dog and handler. If the incident takes place at an official show/trial and the GKCDTC Training Committee decision is to ban the dog, the dog may be banned from future GKCDTC sponsored shows/trials in accordance with the rules of that venue/ organization.
Dog owners/handlers involved in the incident may appeal the decision of the Training Committee to the Board. The Board may confer with the Training Committee to arrive at a decision. A record of the incident and resultant actions, including appeals, will be retained permanently by the Training Committee for reference in the event of repeated incidents or litigation. A member of the Training Committee or Board who is an involved party must be recused from the decision-making process.
DEFINITION/EXAMPLES OF AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS
Definitions of Aggressive Behavior and Acts that are potentially harmful or dangerous to humans or dogs. It is understood that some dogs may have space requirements and due consideration shall be given to the dog’s needs. Some examples include the following:

PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED
When an incident occurs, the Club member in charge of the event will stop activity (if possible) and request all people present to provide the information on the Dog Incident Report Form. If the Club member in charge is involved in the incident, then the assistant, a Training Committee member, Board member or other Club member must step in to document the incident. The Dog Incident Report Form and accompanying witness statements must be completed and delivered immediately to the Training Director(s) for Training Committee review following the incident. Reports can be scanned and emailed to the Training Director(s) if it is not possible to submit in person.
