Each month, GKCDTC hosts Show Prep or a “fun match” for obedience and rally. This is an excellent chance for you to train under the same conditions as future AKC Obedience and Rally trials. All are welcomed to join us!

Entries are due by noon on the Wednesday before Show Prep
Obedience Show Prep
Utility begins at 8:00am or 8:30am, followed by Open, Novice, and Beginner Novice.
Each dog may have a maximum of two (2) runs, either in the same class or in two (2) different classes.
Cost per run is $7.00 for non-members and $6.00 for members. Volunteers get one free run.

Rally Show Prep
Choice class begins at 9:00am, followed by Master, Excellent, Advanced, Intermediate and Novice.
Each entry gets two (2) runs with a maximum of four (4) runs per dog, any combination of levels.
The cost to enter is $7.00 (2 runs) for non-members and $6.00 (2 runs) for members.
Email entries and questions to rally.showprep@gkcdtc.org. Be sure to include handler name, dog name, breed, class(es) and jump height (if applicable).

Before You Arrive
- There will be a judge and stewards in the ring.
- Treats, toys, additional commands, and/or praise are allowed.
- For obedience, handlers may repeat one exercise per run.
- The training building is located at 9911 E. 63rd St., Raytown, MO 64133.
- The building is heated and air-conditioned. Chairs are available or bring your own.
- Parking is limited. When the parking on the side and behind the building are full, reference our parking map (pdf) for additional spaces.
- Acceptable “potty areas” include the pocket park on the corner east of the building and the grass field behind the UMB Bank lot on the north side.
- When you enter the building, sign the club liability clipboard located on the counter.
- Pay your entry fee(s) upon arrival. Bring exact change or check – we do not have the ability to make change.
- Crating is available in the back room and ringside. In addition, a limited number of community crates are available. Please use them with care!
- Non-entered dogs are welcomed for socialization and/or companionship, but may be asked to stay in the back room.
